Original Classic Coffee/Kahlua Tiramisu is double layered made with a rich coffee flavored hand-mixed custard that contains Kahlua.  Ladyfingers are dipped in our especially flavorful mixture of espresso, Kahlua, brown sugar, and Guittard (100% cacao) cocoa.  The top of our Original Classic Tiramisu is sprinkled with the same red dutch-processed cocoa.  Tiramisu is made to order and orders are limited.  Please order 5 days in advance (our Original Classic must chill for three days prior to releasing).

Classic Coffee/Kahlua Tiramisu

Refrigerate or Freeze.

Your Classic Coffee/Kahlua Tiramisu contains Kahlua (coffee liqueur [approx. 5 oz. in a 9” cake]).

Tiramisu can be served right from the refrigerator; however, many prefer it to sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before serving.  In no case should you leave tiramisu out of the refrigerator for more than 2 hours.

Cutting: Run your knife or cutting utensil under hot/warm water prior to each cut.

Freezing:

  • Remove any excess cocoa powder, nuts, or cacao nibs from the top of the tiramisu.
  • Wrap the tiramisu carefully, but tightly, in a layer of plastic wrap.  Then, wrap it a second time in plastic wrap.  This keeps all the liquids tightly contained.  You can use two separate pieces of plastic wrap or wrap one continuous piece around it twice.
  • Cover in aluminum foil, then put in the freezer.
  • Tiramisu may be kept in freezer for UP TO 3 months.

Thawing:

The best and easiest way to thaw your tiramisu is to take it out of the freezer and place it in the refrigerator overnight.  This will allow it to thaw naturally, versus a microwave defrosting that may ruin the consistency of the tiramisu.

It is important, however, to remember to keep your tiramisu tightly wrapped while it is thawing.  This will prevent any of the liquids from dripping out, keeping all the flavor in for as long as possible.
